There are too many variables to consider as the season closes in. Injuries and suspensions to key players, top teams playing each other etc etc.. Lets just enjoy the ride!

Must have belief that every match can be won. Squad is relatively injury free. Lets hope.

What happens if Sutton Utd are champions on April 28? How long do they have to decide whether to install a grass pitch? What if they decide not to? Are the second in the league promoted automatically and do third to eighth contest the playoffs?

Sutton have already agreed to install a grass pitch if they are promoted, so I don't think the issue will arise.

But if it did, there would be a play-off contest for 1 promotion place and the 23rd side in L2 would not get relegated.

Agree AM but they would have made a decent slab from their cup run last season which must have helped with recruitment this year.

I am not sure Sutton's success is such a fairytale. They made a huge amount amount of money from their cup run last season, including some dubious sponsorship deals. They have got a very good squad, who must be on decent wages, but don't play pretty football: very direct and uncompromising.

If it is a straight fight between Sutton and Macclesfield, I would prefer Macc to go up. They play better football and have a more likeable manager.

Maybe thats what we need to do to get out of this league. I don’t recall Lincoln’s being particularly ‘sexy football’ either. Certainly not when you have Rhead holding up the front line!

Interesting that none of us predicted either Macc or Sutton to be champions, but one of them certainly will.
