My stats were not meant to be negative, just to be cautious about our prospects. Micky will be aware of the trend I've spotted and be thinking carefully about his approach. There's the world of difference between a 90-minute league game worth three points and a three-hour, two-legged high-stakes semi-final. Micky will prepare his team well. Unlike Sparky, I think the team will be confident. However, we will be without about half the players who would be in Micky's first choice XI and the midfield is currently our area of weakness. But if Wallace continues to improve and Maynard and Dunn come back into contention, this will be less of an issue. It's now down to belief plus luck with injuries, the woodwork and the referees.

Is anyone up for a debate about our chances of going all the way? We all seem agreed it's now a bit of a lottery. For me, it's an each way bet on FGR, Daggers and us. I think even if Aldershot beat us, they will probably lose the final. As the financial advisers always warn, history is not always a guide to future performance. So, I'm upbeat about beating Aldershot and if we reach the final, anything could happen. We will no doubt benefit from the rest on Saturday and MM will have prepared the team well. My fears are our shortage of fully fit midfielders and our recent penalty taking performance.

If form going into the play-offs is any guide, then Aldershot and Rovers are best placed, but I'm not sure how much it is. I think our injury crisis is much worse than other contenders, while agreeing with BBTC that the penalty woes could prove a problem. Never felt confident that we would win the play-offs, all that I ask is we play to the best of our ability and who knows...

I think with the injuries we have, we can still field a very strong team capable of beating anyone in this league. Like Boz says, all you want to see is the players giving their all. You can't ask for much more than that and the rest will fall into place. I think we'll draw tonight.
