Agree re need for balance but at least the incident shows that Cook cares.

I did not notice anything particularly untoward from Cook. It was inevitable Banks would get a bo*****ing after that error, albeit he was one of our better players overall.

Don't think I made my original comment clear, the radio suggested Cook had a go at Banks earlier in the game, as well as the time of his error for the second goal.

Having seen the goals, I'm not inclined to lay that much blame on Banks for the second. He loses the ball in their half and Muldoon is able to carry the ball to the edge of our penalty area unchallenged. Davies should have done better with the shot too.

Davies was partly at fault for the first and second goals. I am not sure if he was already injured at that stage.

Banks should not have been dribbling in that area of the pitch but, as I said yesterday, the lack of options ahead of him contributed to the mistake.

You’re only as good as your last game in football. You may have won the previous five, but lose and it’s all over according to some doom merchants.

Let’s see how we recover next week..

Look at it this way . We all have bad days . At work the team have been brilliant the last few weeks and this might be the kick up the ars they need. . To go even better . You never know . Knowing tranmere we will score five on sat and everthing will be rosie. We have gota give pilling a go sooner or later . S let him loose and stop baby sitting him. If you are good enough your old enough.

Pilling had a very impressive debut at Maidstone and he had rave reviews at Toulon U21. He deserves his chance. I would even argue that the reason Davies has played so well this season is that he knows he has real competition. If Pilling's confidence suffers, we can look at a loanee. This may cost us points, but there is no guarantee we could afford anyone better.

Yes, down to eighth with Boreham Wood's win at Dagenham, but we will be back up to fifth if we win on Saturday. Wood looked a decent side at Prenton Park but Daggers are very hit and miss this season.

Chester did us a favour as Fylde were getting some momentum.

That's not a bad point for Chester considering how their season is going.
