Agree anyone but Peterborough. My preference would be home to a non-league side we've not played before.

Not all parent clubs make the stipulations, though now that the loan requirements must be for a longer period, suspect most do, knowing their player is going to be away for 4 months. I agree that the gulf between the haves and have nots in football is getting wider, but we must get on with it...

I agree it's a daft rule, but we're stuck with it. Think atm there are no senior players being kept out on merit because of it

A young player would not be keeping out a senior player for political reasons though, as under the rules, if the youngster doesn't get the place then nobody does. I would have thought that it was worse for morale for a senior player who deserves inclusion to be left out because of economic...

I understand this. It was unfortunate that when Norburn left, we did not have funding to bring in another central midfielder on contract and Harris' sending-off at Swindon, forced the issue to ensure McCullough came in to provide cover. If we're penalised for not using loan players by the terms...

It didn't sound like we created much, aside from Norwood's miss at the death. After we get the potentially more challenging trip to Forest Green out of the way, it might be time for Micky to look at ways of getting Akammadu on the bench.

I agree a fully fit Sutton works better on the left of a central defensive pairing than Ellis, but if Sutton is still rusty there will be problems.

Buxton injured? Doesn’t feature at all after a good showing last Friday. Monthe goes to left-back and surprisingly after he looked incredibly rusty at Shrewsbury, Sutton preferred to Ellis. Only 6 subs again, couldn’t we have spared one of the youngsters...

Huish Park has not been a happy hunting ground for Rovers, we've lost on our last 5 visits. The hosts started this season brightly, but have slumped recently, not helped by a couple of long term injuries. Hopefully a good time to be playing them and break the recent hoodoo. I'd expect a similar...

    2018/19 - 10 games in

It would be interesting to see the data, but I’d guess Connor covers more of the pitch than many others in the team.

I’ve read an alternative explanation that the lack of home grown players meant we could only use 6 subs. Presume the likes of Spellman were needed for a youth game in the morning, if that’s correct.

I agree that Banks had a reasonable game and there were some quality moves initiated by him. Personally don’t think Ollie is quite at the same pinnacle that he started the season, and thought playing with a more consistently deep sitting partner in McCulloch might be a factor. There may be...

McCulloch is a quality player and could see an argument for MoM, where Buxton and the central defenders were also in contention. However, I wonder if Banks’ dip in form is partly due to now having the responsibility for more of the attacking/creative work in midfield than when he was paired with...

Great work by Connor Jennings and fine finish by Harvey Gilmour for the winner, good turnout on a miserable night and with England playing. Overall a game to take more pleasure from tbe result than the performance

The 451 isn’t working for us tonight, Norwood isolated and the midfield disjointed. Think MM needs to change things. Think I’d have found a place on the bench for Akkamadu probably at the expense of DMH given how the game is shaping so far.

Only 6 subs? Presume Akkamadu out because we’ve used the full quota of loans with George on the bench. No place for Tollitt, or one of the youngsters.

I don’t have particularly strong feelings either way about how we fill the Zoum gap. However, Buxton played a bit at left-back when he joined us, as well as being deployed there in midweek, when you and others thought he was one of our better players. Micky has deployed Smith on the ‘wrong’ side...

Interested why you think splitting up Monthe-McNulty in central defence is more likely than Buxton at left-back and Caprice at right-back? I’d be very surprised if we used Buxton in central defence unless going to 3 at the back.
