Excellent analysis of the 451 RLC and agree completely. We know the 451 works when we need control of the game but against poorer opposition not so. I’m surprised MM did not make changes sooner to give Norwood who like you say was getting more frustrated as the game went on a bit more support...

Norwood actually had two decent chances towards the end and he’ll be disappointed with both efforts. The first where he tries to side foot it over the keeper but doesn’t get it off the floor and the second just lacked any power. But not wanting to harp on too much about Norwood who was only one...

Ohh .. with 30 seconds to go, Norwood gets a glorious chance to win the game. And side foots it to the keeper... He should have whacked that, game over. Anyway, not a classic but a decent result away.

More enterprising now Mullin is on. Still not really testing the keeper though.

Sutton's doing OK here. Could go anyway but Norwood looks too isolated up front. Having said that a bit of quality upfront could see us take the lead. Yeovil look short of confidence but have some dangerous players. Currently looking like a draw if this continues. Let's hope for more excitement...

That's a fair point. We've shown already we can match the best in this league. Our away form is decent and the players should be confident going into this one.

Why all the negativity with Jennings this season ?

It’s quite bizarre. The game were we didn’t have Norwood we scored four goals.

Absolutely. I was quite surprised how organised and determined they were. They certainly didn’t look like a team who hadn't won a game all season. Having said that, there was a clear lack of quality in there. Gilmour is an exciting prospect. His interceptions are excellent and he can clearly...

That wasn’t pretty but we got the job done. I agree with Boz, the 451 didn’t work tonight. The midfield area was jammed and we couldn’t get any real flow going. Having said that the goal was a quality one and we are up to 4th. Who’d have thought that a few months ago.

Yeah, I don't think this will be easy at all. Although regardless of the result, I do love a bit of Fri night football, reminds me of the good old days! Rovers to win 3-1.

I don’t think we have a great deal to lose with Tollitt. I think if he stays at Tranmere he won’t get near the first XI which will do him no use at all. He really needs games and an opportunity to get his confidence back as he’s not been the same since his injuries.

It was a relatively strong defence as well. Caprice, Buxton, Ellis and Sutton.

I agree to an extent Joe, but I don't think after a game like that, which was so disjointed you can make fair judgments on players. Half of them didn't seem fit and there was not enough quality throughout especially in the attacking department to make that call. I felt it a bit for the strikers...

It's never great conceding six, but we'll be back to our best again Fri night. We can kiss goodnight to this competition and move on. Bit of a concern is how short of fitness a lot of them looked. How are these fringe/young players getting their fitness? I wouldn't look too much into this result...

Our defence looks very vunerable without M&M at the back.

I don't think anyone anticipated three years in the conference. That's got to come as some financial blow. Hate to thing what would have happened if we hadn't gone up.
