no, it would be a pointless waste of time.

If he makes a mistake in the game, then tough. We had the chances to have put the game beyond Bradford and using the ref as an excuse is not good enough.

a referee's decision should be final and to me that is the one reason that technology should be introduced into the game, which would give the referee the ability to see things (like the ball over the line!) more clearly.

So, in summary... I've voted no.

NO definately not! we got beat and we have to swallow the bitter pill just like chelsea did against liverpool. whether it was a goal or not we were just unlucky and am sure it will turn around by the end of the season! we played well and deserved at least a replay but it wasn't to be and am not complainin' :!:

And just how you gunna prove it wasnt a goal. Theres no goal line camera, just one shitty camera on the half way line. No chance

You could stop the video when the ball hits the ground. If the ball is on the penalty area side of the line, it cannot have been a goal, as it would not have bounced outwards.

Ffrom that angle, you may be able to see for a clear decidion but for anything within 6 inches of the line you wouldnt be able to tell at all.

Myra Hindley would have had more chance of a successful appeal than us.

No dont be silly. You should never blame a defeat on the referee, he is classed as a player on the pitch in the rule book, so therefore, whatever he does or decides goes.

And also what is the point of appealing, did Spurs appeal for their goal that wasn't against Man Utd last season, nope! And they had a stronger case.

The two teams agree to replay! An appeal would not have been succesful if Arsenal hadn'e have empatised so greatly!

If we won 3-2 then you wouldn't complain. To blame the referee is the easy way out of explaining why we lost.

Unfortunately referees make mistakes. It is the most frustrating thing in the world. But "part of the game".

Sheff Utd v Arsenal was only replayed because of an accidental act of bad sportsmanship by Marc Overmars and Nwankwo Kanu. Arsenal then went on a guilt trip and may have been thinking about the extra TV money and gate receipts that went with a replay as well as making them look like they are really sporting.

Besides, you can't say "we would have won if the goal had been given." They might have scored 3 times instead! We just don't know.

Has a poor decision never gone in our favour before?

Also, if we did "appeal", we would not only just be laughed out of Soho Square. The FA might not like it and could fine us or deduct points in the league. Managers get fined for bad comments etc.

I've been listening to Radio Merseyside football phone in tonight and Alan Jackson has made a very very good point.
That "goal" from Crooks could cost Tranmere hundreds of thousands of pounds, and maybe financial stability in the future. If Bradford hadn't scored that goal, we would have won the game easy.
