Even with the injuries we're fairly well off for midfielders, while his goalscoring record isn't great. I'd have preferred a Devaney replacement, but hope this lad can do a job for us.

According to the OS, he's joined for a month. Looks to have a good pedigree, but obviously is not in Pardew's current plans. I think he might surprise us.
