This is a pivotal match and one which we need at least to draw and preferably win, given 3 of the next 4 games are difficult away fixtures.

Cresswell is definitely out injured and Joss Labadie is banned, so team changes are inevitable. It's significant that we're missing our two set-piece specialists, Welsh hasn't impressed when taking them this season and I've no idea if Weir is any good, as he's the likely midfield replacement. However, given the absences, I'd hope that serious consideration is given to starting with Robinson to plug the gap, either ahead of Weir or instead of Akins.

The other issue will be how many extra will come through the turnstiles, given the £5 entry price? At category C, with visitors who aren't likely to bring more than 200 and the bluenoses across the river at home, we'd normally expect a crowd of about 4.5k. Les has mentioned a 5-figure crowd, in reality, I think we can't hope for more than an extra 2k. I do hope that the team turn in a good performance, rather than one which will drive away any occasional visitor to Prenton Park.

Prediction. I find this one hard to gauge, but am going for a score draw.

Living in cloud cuckoo land if they think the gate will topple 5-figures. Really need to win this one. Labadie being out is a big blow, and I'm thinking Weir to step into his place with Robinson coming in for Akins who really doesn't cut the mustard. We should get at their throats and really go for this one. We are playing quite well as a unit and there's no reason we can't walk away with a good win (maybe I'm the one living in cloud cuckoo land).

Hello! Remember me? I'm really sorry for not appearing on here of late. I've been mega busy with bits and bobs but hope to be back posting on here regularly.

As for this game... I'm hopeful for a five figure gate. The game has been much better publicised this time around than previous efforts to bring big crowds back, so fingers crossed.

It's vital that we don't get bogged down and get caught on a losing run. After 2 defeats on the road, it's important that we get back to winning ways in this one against a side who are in and around us in the league table too.

I'd be more confident if we were playing Brighton, but fingers crossed the players start well (unlike Tuesday) and concentrate until the bitter end and stop conceding late goals as that has cost us badly of late.

Come on Rovers and Rovers fans. Bring a friend or relative to the game and lets get a nice big crowd inside Prenton Park!=D>

Yes, I'm bringing a couple of mates, so it's all likely to go belly up.

My biggest concern is that this will be our third hard game in a week, while Yeovil have been idle since the night we beat Wednesday. This could mean they will be slow out the blocks but that we might tire. So we need to be at least a couple of goals clear to prepare for our usual nightmare last 20 minutes.

Hope Robbo plays. He's the sort of player that punters would pay to watch.

Can't see there being more than 8k at the game, but that would be a pleasant change from 4.5k!

I would agree that tomorow's game could be pivotal to our season. I would almost go as far as to stick my neck out and say that if we win we will not be relegated, given the cushion we would have over the bottom four clubs.

Unfortunately, I think the absence of Labadie and Cresswell will have a major impact, as we have seen many times this season that with our thin squad even the loss of two or three players can be damaging. Without Aaron we don't have a decent set piece taker (unless Robbo plays), and althougn Weir showed a couple of nice touches at Peterborough, I have no idea if he is a replacement for Labadie over ninety minutes.

I have said for some time that Robinson should start ahead of Akins, and I think that is definitely the case tomorrow as the absences will affect our creativity.

As for the gate, I would guess it will be in the region of 7-8,000, but as has been commented, even that will seem massive compared to what we have been getting this season.

I think 8,000 would be a reasonable gate. Just hope the team performs to maybe persuade one or two of the part-timers to come back and see us soon.

Labadie will be a big loss in midfield. Not seen much of Robbie Weir but he'll get his chance I guess in the middle, with Zoom covering for Cresswell at left back.

It's important that we try and get the three points from this one to keep away from that dreaded drop zone. A win takes us to 40 points, and I think 50 points should see us safe, so that leaves 10 points to get from 14 games.

Lets hope for a good turnout and a good atmosphere. It's been a while since we had either of those two things at Prenton Park. SWA! =D>

There's the chance that if Plymouth go out of existence we will lose 6 points, this needs to be taken into account as well. I think we will need at least 53 points to stay up.

An interesting point. What actually happens if they do?
Does it mean only three teams would be relegated
From those left?

if it was to happen there would only be 3 teams going down and all tems that have taken points off them would lose the points, but i think they will manage to get through the remainder of the season

Les has mentioned a 5-figure crowd.

hahaha, he's going to be disappointed.

i'm torn between wanting lots of people to come, and wanting my normal parking space...be surprised if we hit 7k, and we will clearly generate less cash than we do with tickets at their normal price. i'm a season ticket holder anyway so in general i don't really care much.

hope for a good match! we'll miss joss and cressa, but have a good replacement for the latter.
