It was announced today that Joe Thompson has been diagnosed with a form of Hodgkin's disease. This is a cancer and he will have six months of chemotherapy. Really bad luck for him and his family. Hope he comes through in due course. Let's wish him all the best.

I'd echo the comments of BBTC above, a real shock for such a young man. Hopefully Joe will make a swift recovery.

Very sad news. Apparently with the strain of cancer Joe has there is a good chance of a full recovery, so hopefully all will go well for him.
