Always felt Alex Hay was badly treated by Little, showed some early promise under Ray, but BL never gave him a chance.

Has he quit playing? Thought he'd gone into teaching at one stage?

Anyway, good luck to them both.

i thought hay ran around a lot but was poor, didnt look like a league player & has been proven the way his career went.
Hope goes well in management for them both.

hahaha, I really think he had something. But his career did go on a downward spiral after leaving Prenton I have to admit.

He was a live-wire and I reckon if he had been given more of a chance he could have bagged at least 10 a season, which could have helped my bank balance lol.

Overall though, a promising player that never really fulfilled his promise. Like so many others that we've had over the years.

As far as I am aware Alex is a special needs teacher. After touting around in non-league he went to Rhyl for a couple of seasons, but joined Cammell Lairds when Neil Young (Asst manager at Rhyl) went to Lairds. Recently been at Colwyn Bay but wasnt playing regularly.
Made up for him.=D> Hope he does a good job and lifts them up, they should have still been in the Unibond Premier but for stupid ground regulations:roll:
