Not the most difficult selection problems for Micky today. Apart from the new Italian lad, every fit/available senior player is in the team or on the bench. We are almost down to bare bones. Let's hope for a win AND no injuries or sendings off.

Not brilliant to be honest. We have created as many chances as the hosts, but they have been better in possession. Need to keep the ball better and get tighter in midfield.

Not great. Thankfully their finishing has been abysmal. Half time team talk important here because we can't rely on their profligacy.

According to stats they’ve had 10 shots but only 1 on target in the first half. Sounds like it’s inevitable they may score so hopefully Mickey can work his magic at HT

Great control and finish! What would we do without him?

Think Zoom went left wing and Jennings played more central supporting Nors.

A decent result although a bit disappointing given we took the lead through that man Norwood.

Await any reports but would be interested how Stockton did as it’s another game without a goal for him (think that’s 7 now this season altogether).

You'd take that before the game.
Another fixture that shows we're not out of our depth back where we belong.

Happy with a point as we weren't great today. Deserved the draw in the end.

At last we scrapped for a point. Look forward to the reports.

A reality check? We are now comfortably in mid-table, but it is worth noting that we have yet to play any of the seven teams in promotion or play-off positions. In fact, of the 10 teams above us we have played only one (Mansfield).

Agree with this. I thought we rode our luck in the second half and was pleased to walk away with a point. Not sure how we would cope without Norwood but at least it’s a good point away from home.

Thought Northampton were a decent team, drove forward well but their finishing was poor.

We just seemed of the pace today although they worked hard for the point.

We were second best today with Northampton missing several " sitters" when it was much easier to score. We did however keep going and defended stoutly with McNulty winning every header. Ref gave us absolutely nothing but then again this wasn't a great performance anyhow with too many misplaced passes and also the wrong balls selected. Personally I thought Northampton apart from their finishing were good and they will do well once they find their shooting boots - bit reminiscent of our start last season. I think the point was maybe slightly fortuitous but we cannot fault the effort. Stockton played some nice touches but he doesn't seem to want to play as an out and out front man - maybe that is on MM's instructions I don't know.

Northampton are the best team I have seen us play this season (only been to Stevenage, Port Vale and today), and i thought the looked dangerous on the wings and got in behind us on both flanks all too often. Jake was caught out a few times and looked scared of the pace of their winger. Manny did well against another tricky, quick player, and had a solid game. Steve and Ellis were again magnificent at the back, but there were a few missed tackles, loose passes that might get punished by a more composed side in front of goal.

All in all, it is a good away point, and another goal for Nors. Stockton was poor again for me, he was bullied by their center halves, and struggled to get off the ground and win flick ons. Fair play that he kept going and did a bit better second half, but I do think we need to have a think about an alternative to him for the next game.
