We do seem to be strapped for cash at the moment.
So how did we ever think we could afford Danny Rowe? It would have blown the budget sky high.
McNulty already on 2 yellow cards.
Yellow cards in the League Cup are separate from EFL bookings. Banks's booking tonight will be wiped clean, as we are now out of the competition.

I don't know, I did not make the bids. But clearly somebody at the club did think it was possible to sign him.

I don't think it is any secret that we are having some cash issues at the moment. Whether they are short term or more significant, I have no idea.

We had an offer of 35k accepted for Ferrier before he and his 'agent' had second thoughts. That is probably our financial ability level. A shame for Rowe - from a footballing point of view another season or more in the NL is just about going to kill his chances of ever playing at a higher level, given his age. I see he scored again last night. That said, I imagine Fylde's wealthy owner will be paying him well. Maybe even as much, if not more, than our players are getting.

35k sounds like a great bit of business for Ferrier. Shame it didn’t work out. I wonder how much Walsall paid for him?

It was related to a release clause so I'd be surprised if they paid any more than that. The difference will be in the wages that his "agent" negotiated. A sorry story ...

Couldn’t make the game last night but doesn’t sound like Stockton or Mullin impressed. Not a surprise as neither has many goals in them.

Tollit is a difficult one - is it worth sending him on loan to get a full 90 minutes every week and maybe build his confidence?

I would rather he made cameo appearances from the bench, as he did at Stevenage. He has looked good coming on in the second half of games, but was not ready to play ninety minutes in a weakened team. Last night his confidence dipped again, one of the reasons the game was quite frustrating.

I wasn't there either, but strikes me as far too early to be writing Mullin off; he needs more match time.

Would agree with RLC re Tollitt. Smith doesn't seem capable of lasting 90 minutes either at the moment, so makes sense to have Ben coming off the bench.

I agree with Boz re. Mullin. He was the better of the two strikers last night and I quite like him. I think he deserves to start on Saturday.
