Quiet on the coach on the way back. Everyone emotionally drained I think. All heroes but to me McNulty and Monthe were brilliant. Onwards and upwards. Already planning the away days next season.

last night i had a dream that we had a man sent off after 48 seconds . used all 3 subs in 40 mins then went and bloody won and sent the white army barmy amazing . oh macc we are comming to get you
I had the same dream. It started as a nightmare but it can't be true as it seemed to last a lot longer than ninety minutes.

Morecambe as well.

One of the big advantages of promotion is far fewer really long journeys to obscure places down south.

I hope Exeter go up through the play-offs, leaving us with games against Coventry, Notts County and Lincoln, all decent midlands clubs in addition to the ones in the north you mention.

As the end of the article details, the Independent article was taken from a book called 'On the brink' I have a copy and it is excellent. Covers all the clubs in the North West both the League clubs and also the more senior non-league sides. How they cope basically in a difficult environment.

Delighted for you, AM. Must have made up for not being there. None of us got quite so close to them at Wembley!

I sat next to a couple who were in their mid seventies who couldn't stand up everytime there was a 'dramatic' event. It was great to see the smiles on their faces at the end even though they couldn't really observe things with the crowd in front standing...

Onward and upward, although maybe mkdons isn't a ground I enjoy visiting.

I felt like an all conquering hero walking into the office this morning. There has been some success in these parts this season with the Clarets reaching Europe and the other Rovers being promoted, but everybody, no matter their footballing persuasion, is delighted that we are back where we belong.
I bet I'm not the only one who has had a great morning - still high as a kite and so proud of everybody who is part of this wonderful thing that is "Tranmere Rovers"!

I spoke to Palios some months ago who confided in me about his cancer. I kept schtum as it wasn't for me to announce it to the world. It was a private conversation. A very good man who battled through that (and still is) and kept the Club at the front of his mind. A man who is Tranmere through and through who we should stick by when the going gets tough.

Yeah it’s been pretty much downhill for people in their 20s. Luckily I was watching Rovers when the likes of Mogsy, Muir, Nevin and Aldo were working their magic.

It is incredible we have still got so many young supporters to be honest. Prior to Palios the last decade was pretty dire and it is not as if there are not any local alternatives.
