Looking at the likes of everton . Who got hammerd again last night . No manager for a month . And the players dont look botherd . Look at rooney on £300k aweek . One hundred and fifty million spent in the smmer . On the worst toffee team i can remember. Then look at the likes of orient i feel so sorry for them . Had a nightmare owner and looking like they could go down again. In some ways we are lucky to have the owners we do . Yes they make mistakes we all do. But they care and love the club

They spent poorly in the summer. Including the Ajax captain who clearly isn't up to the premiership. Seems to me nowadays that a player can have one or two decent seasons in an easy European league and all of a sudden be worth over £20M.

Would be great if they went down!

Everton were absolutely abysmal last night. It really warmed my heart in these difficult times !

I could not believe how past it players like Williams looked, and the rest of the team was made up of mediocrities like Klassen and inexperienced kids.

Yes - and another big loss for Everton on Sunday against a team that cannot score for toffee! (groan - sorry!). Maybe the owners should have given more thought as to who might make a suitable replacement before they sacked Koeman, who must have needed a security truck to take away his retrenchment payment! The big mistake was selling Lukaku without having a replacement signed up. As we know, failure to score goals really does the confidence of the whole team.

The irony is that Everton have a decent number of individuals who would walk into many other EPL teams. Most of the close season signings were good and should have strengthened the team. But yes, not replacing Lukaku was a mistake and I bet it was not even Koeman's fault.

I am not so sure. Yes, Sigurdsson is a great player and Keane is young and will improve. But other signings like Klassen and Martina are nonentities and a lot of the side is ageing, particularly the defence with Jagielka, Williams and Baines, all of whom look past it. I think they are in big trouble.

I was also thinking of Jordan Pickford, who had a great England debut.

Sigurdsson has been shocking this season. Probably doesn't help with the players around him. I think Everton's lack of real player investment over the years is finally catching up with them. They need to make some really good signings in the new year otherwise they are in deep trouble.

I think they will be fine now, unfortunately. As it happens, I will be at their game against Huddersfield on Saturday courtesy of a work colleague. A chance to see how The Terriers have progressed in the last few years if nothing else.

Seeing West Ham tonight, Moyes has his work cut out. If they get thrashed by managerless Everton, they will struggle.

Sam will keep the Blues up, but I doubt he'll last two years. He said not long ago he was retiring from club management. Will his heart be in it?

It's funny, watching tonight's game it was clear Everton would probably have stayed up whoever they had appointed, as they were just rudderless under Unsworth and the teams below them are very, very poor. But now they are stuck with Allardyce for eighteen months, a manager most of their supporters did not want in the first place.

I certainly will. I am still debating whether to wear my Rovers hat.....

It will be weird seeing them at Goodison after our numerous tussles down the years.
